Shift Information

This is a night shift position, from 9pm to 5:30am.

Job Responsibilities

  • Safely operate milling systems, such as impact, ball and jar mills and large volume blenders.
  • Utilize the Mettler-Toledo IND780 terminal system to accurately weigh bulk containers in compliance with the batch record.
  • Execute and document line clearance at the start of each milling event.
  • Collect samples for quality control as required.
  • Recommend improvements to departmental procedures and SOPs.
  • Maintain accurate logs and documentation as mandated.
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of all chemicals.
  • Conduct process scale checks on required equipment.
  • Keep the work area and equipment clean and organized.
  • Monitor and replenish supplies needed for operations; notify the Lead/Supervisor if additional supplies are required.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment at all times.
  • Understand and follow procedures for the safe handling of chemicals.
  • Effectively clean mills and IBCs using dry heat ovens, steam autoclaves, and cleaning systems.
  • Actively contribute to sustaining a clean and organized work environment through the 6S program.
  • Perform any other tasks as requested by management.

Required Skills and Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven work history demonstrating reliability.
  • Experience in medical devices, diagnostics, food/vitamin processing, or pharmaceuticals is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with chemical handling (college level science courses preferred).
  • Proficient knowledge of the metric system.
  • Understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English competently.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • In California, the base hourly pay for this position ranges from $19.65 to $25.51, depending on qualifications, education, and experience.
