ALL ABOUT ASSETS PROTECTION

The Assets Protection (AP) teams are dedicated to safeguarding our guests, team, and brand while leading during crisis situations. Their mission is to protect sales by reducing risk through theft prevention and fraud resolution, ensuring product availability for our guests. Building relationships with store leaders and public safety officials, including law enforcement, is key.

As a Security Operations Specialist, you'll gain:

• Skills in intelligence-led tactics for ensuring safety and security for team members and guests.
• Experience in crisis response and crowd management, offering support to guests and team members alike.
• Skills in de-escalation and insights into physical security measures.
• Familiarity with Target's video surveillance systems.
• The ability to document security cases accurately and timely using our case management systems.

A Day in the Life: Your typical day may include:

• Creating a welcoming atmosphere by greeting guests at the store entrance.
• Promoting a physical security culture throughout the store by maintaining safe standards.
• Responding to and documenting security incidents promptly.
• Addressing guest issues to ensure a secure environment for all.
• Employing de-escalation tactics during security incidents.
• Conducting merchandise theft recoveries and adhering to AP policies.
• Performing receipt checks to prevent theft at the front of the store and recognizing patterns.
• Submissions of documentation in the case management system for all significant incidents.
• Effective use of Target's video surveillance system as required.
• Upholding ethical conduct, safety, and compliance at all times.
• Complying with safety policies and reporting potential hazards.
• Other tasks based on business needs.
