Preventative Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY

The Maintenance Associate supports daily maintenance activities, preventive maintenance (PM) execution, and general yard and equipment upkeep. This role assists technicians and supervisors in maintaining, repairing, and preparing Envent's equipment fleet to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. The Maintenance Associate will work closely with the PM and Operations teams to complete assigned tasks on schedule while maintaining compliance with company standards and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assist in performing preventive maintenance, and test fire activities, on equipment such as scrubber systems, Thermal oxidizer units, blowers, and trailers.
  2. Support the maintenance technicians with teardown, inspection, cleaning, and reassembly of components.
  3. Perform general yard maintenance, housekeeping, and organization of tools, parts, and work areas.
  4. Aid in equipment setup, inspections, and functional checks prior to deployment.
  5. Record maintenance findings, completed work, and part usage in MaintainX or assigned tracking systems.
  6. Help track and organize parts, consumables, and tools to ensure availability for PMs and repairs.
  7. Support field and shop safety initiatives. Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE and participate in safety meetings.
  8. Assist in equipment staging and loading for mobilization and demobilization.
  9. Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the yard and maintenance areas.
  10. Report any equipment abnormalities, hazards, or unsafe conditions to Preventative maintenance Manager immediately.


QUALIFICATIONS
  1. High School Diploma or GED required.
  2. 2-5 years of experience in industrial, mechanical, or yard maintenance preferred.
  3. Basic mechanical aptitude, ability to use hand and power tools safely and correctly.
  4. Demonstrates foundational electrical knowledge, including identifying basic components, reading simple wiring diagrams, and working safely on low-voltage circuits. Capable of using basic electrical testing tools such as multimeters to verify continuity, check voltage, and assist technicians in resolving equipment faults.
  5. Basic computer or tablet proficiency (CMMS experience a plus).

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  1. Consistently follows safe work practices and promotes a culture of safety.
  2. Accurately documents inspections and follows through on PM requirements.
  3. Ensures assigned PM tasks are completed on time and meet quality standards.
  4. Works effectively with operations, shop, and support roles to ensure equipment readiness.
  5. May be required to work extended hours or weekends based on operational needs.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role requires both office and fieldwork, with potential to frequently travel to sites across the company. The employee may be required to stand, walk, or lift/move up to 35 pounds. The work environment may involve exposure to outdoor weather, industrial equipment, and airborne particles.
