Job Description:
With general guidance in a team environment, responsible for various inspection requirements, including physical inspection and related documentation reviews for compliance.
Role & Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate acceptance and rejection records and certification systems as required by specifications.
Inspect parts, tools, or instruments to determine acceptance or rejection, identifying defects and preparing documentation.
Perform semi-complex inspections on machined parts using various measuring instruments and adapt inspection setups for sample parts, forgings, and castings.
Interpret specifications, blueprints, and technical documents to assess acceptability, using mathematics for dimension and tolerance conversions.
Conduct calibration on semi-complex measuring and test equipment, setting up conditions and documenting calibration intervals.
Required Experience:
Experience with First Article inspection AS9102 (Aerospace).
Experience with mechanical inspection and GD&T knowledge.
Experience with reviewing supplier certs (Material certs, special process certs, test reports, etc).
Preferred experience of CMM operations, background in dimensioning and tolerancing per ANSI Y 14.5.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, customer's specifications and internal drawings and procedures.
Possess working knowledge of shop mathematics including trigonometry.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
