Location: Las Vegas, Nevada, US

Position Overview

The Buyer - Procurement is responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain for assigned commodities within a casino resort environment. This role develops and executes comprehensive sourcing strategies that define procurement approaches, preferred suppliers, cost and quality performance, identified gaps, logistics solutions, and supporting technology roadmaps.

All duties are performed in accordance with departmental and casino resort policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end supplier selection process, including sourcing, bid analysis, strategy development, supplier recommendations, selection, and ongoing supplier and stakeholder relationship management.
  • Perform comprehensive analysis to ensure best-in-class sourcing, competitive pricing, and cost savings based on total cost of ownership.
  • Partner with internal departments to understand business needs and determine the most effective procurement solutions for operational requirements.
  • Summarize and present sourcing strategies and supplier recommendations to key stakeholders, applying category expertise as appropriate.
  • Utilize Ariba as the primary procurement system for sourcing events, supplier collaboration, contract management, and purchase order processing.
  • Issue purchase orders through Ariba and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, and cost adherence.
  • Ensure procurement data accuracy, documentation, and contract compliance within Ariba and related systems.
  • Conduct supplier visits and lead supplier reviews to understand manufacturing processes, capabilities, and new product developments.
  • Lead supplier and contract negotiations using RFPs, market testing, benchmarking, and bid cost modeling.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues, drive value-added outcomes, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to safety standards, which are an essential function of this role.
  • Maintain consistent and regular attendance in support of 24/7 casino resort operations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Company Standards of Conduct

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any required certifications or licenses in accordance with applicable laws or policies.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with Ariba is REQUIRED, including sourcing events, contract management, supplier management, and purchase order processing.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze supplier and material contracts, develop long-range commodity plans, streamline operational procedures, drive continuous improvement, establish inventory levels, and present reports to senior management.
  • Knowledge of financial and cost management, purchase order and contract administration, and advanced spreadsheet analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with guests and team members of diverse backgrounds and experience levels.
  • Ability to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required in a casino resort environment.
