Volt is immediately hiring for Production Assistant in Oceanside, CA.

As a Production Assistant you will:

Job Description

• Day-to-day responsibilities include performing a variety of production tasks such as inspecting, packaging, palletizing, loading, unloading, lifting, and moving production materials.
• Outline key tasks and expectations for the role.
• Ensure product quality meets production and company standards.
• Remove product from conveyor lines and place into packaging.
• Box packaged materials according to customer specifications.
• Stock boxes or repackage as needed.
• Cut and peel casing from salami.
• Rotate into any line position as needed.
• Observe production lines for malfunctions or product defects and report issues promptly.
• Follow all HACCP, SOP, SSOP, and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

• Able to work in a cold environment
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 3–6 months of related manufacturing or food production experience preferred.
• Work well with others.
• Multitask while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Work in a fast?paced environment.
• Follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Use pallet jacks and weight scales.
• Ability to meet production expectations (e.g., package 40 pieces/minute, box 60 packages/minute, palletize 3 cases/minute).
• Stand for 8+ hours and work with allergens.
• Excellent attendance and dependability.
• Able to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends on short notice.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to read and write in English (preferred).
• Basic math skills including whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and unit conversions.

Work Schedule

• Full-time schedule; must be able to work flexible hours including overtime and weekends as needed.
• 1st shift, 6:00 am to 2:3 0pm or 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday & Overtime.

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
