As a Facilities Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include maintaining and repairing various building systems—mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and HVAC—while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and energy efficiency standards. You will play a vital role in preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and inspections at a large commercial facility.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Carry out maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems to meet applicable standards.

  • Adhere to all relevant codes, regulations, and safety directives regarding building operations.

  • Implement and maintain an energy management program to ensure systems operate efficiently.

  • Assist in developing a preventive maintenance program to maximize the lifespan of building machinery and systems; respond to emergency repairs as needed.

  • Follow departmental policies for the safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials, maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

  • Review system inspections including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure compliance with design capabilities and environmental conditions set by the client.

  • Apply advanced knowledge to solve complex problems, mentor colleagues, and exemplify CBRE's RISE values to promote collaboration.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma; 4-5 years of related experience. Universal CFC certification preferred, along with any required local or state certifications/licenses.

  • Physical ability to perform job requirements, including lifting over 50 lbs, climbing, and standing.

  • Strong judgment skills based on comprehensive analysis.

  • Open-mindedness to re-evaluate existing solutions.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and prior CMMS experience preferred.

  • Excellent organizational skills with a curious mindset.

  • Strong math skills to facilitate financial calculations.

Salary Range: CBRE considers a variety of factors in determining compensation: $32 - $35 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
