Were looking for a Landfill Gas Technician to join our team and help us manage landfill gas systems that support renewable energy and environmental compliance./ph3What Youll Do/h3pAs a Landfill Gas Technician, youll be responsible for the daily operation, monitoring, and maintenance of landfill gas collection systems. Your work will directly support environmental compliance and the recovery of renewable energy from landfill operations./ph3Key Responsibilities:/h3ulliMonitor and maintain landfill gas collection wells, piping, and flare systems./liliPerform routine inspections and maintenance on blowers, flares, and condensate management systems./liliCollect and record gas flow, pressure, and composition data using handheld instruments./liliTroubleshoot system issues and assist with repairs to optimize gas recovery./liliEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations./liliSupport air quality testing and emissions monitoring./liliMaintain accurate records for inspections, maintenance, and compliance reporting./li/ulh3Qualifications:/h3ulliHigh school diploma or GED required./lili13 years of experience in landfill operations, gas systems, or environmental monitoring preferred./liliMechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools and equipment./liliComfortable working outdoors approximately 60 to 90% of each workday in all weather conditions./li/ulh3Preferred Skills:/h3ulliFamiliarity with landfill gas systems and environmental regulations (e.g., NSPS, Title V)./liliExperience with SCADA systems and gas monitoring software./liliCertifications in landfill operations or environmental compliance (SWANA, OSHA, etc.)./li/ulh3Why Join Waste Connections?/h3ulliPay: $25 per hour plus overtime availability/liliStart Time: 5:30 AM/liliCompetitive pay and benefits package/liliOpportunities for career growth and development/liliCommitment to safety and environmental responsibility/liliA team-oriented culture that values integrity and innovation/li/ulpWaste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
