RICE Services Inc., (A 100% employee owned ESOP) is looking to hire an organized, professional entry level JR. Multi-Family Plumbing Engineer to join our team.
Fulltime position, Monday through Friday
Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the design and development of plumbing systems for multi-family residential projects.
Collaborate with senior engineers to prepare detailed plumbing plans and specifications.
Conduct site visits to gather data and assist in the assessment of existing plumbing systems.
Support in the preparation of project documentation and reports.
Participate in project meetings and contribute to the discussion of plumbing solutions.
Assist in the calculation of water supply and drainage requirements.
Learn and apply relevant codes and standards to ensure compliance in all plumbing designs.
Work closely with other engineering disciplines to coordinate plumbing system integration.
Provide support in the preparation of cost estimates and project budgets.
Assist in the review of contractor submittals and shop drawings for accuracy and compliance.
Conduct research on new plumbing technologies and materials for potential project applications.
Support in troubleshooting plumbing system issues and recommend potential solutions.
Maintain organized project files and documentation for easy access and review.
Position Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
0-2 years of experience in plumbing design or engineering, preferably in multi-family residential projects.
Basic understanding of plumbing systems and codes (e.g., IPC, UPC).
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel
Familiarity with BIM software such as Revit is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
Valid driver's license for site visits, if required.
