RICE Services Inc., (A 100% employee owned ESOP) is looking to hire an organized, professional entry level JR. Multi-Family Plumbing Engineer to join our team.

Fulltime position, Monday through Friday

Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and development of plumbing systems for multi-family residential projects.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to prepare detailed plumbing plans and specifications.
• Conduct site visits to gather data and assist in the assessment of existing plumbing systems.
• Support in the preparation of project documentation and reports.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to the discussion of plumbing solutions.
• Assist in the calculation of water supply and drainage requirements.
• Learn and apply relevant codes and standards to ensure compliance in all plumbing designs.
• Work closely with other engineering disciplines to coordinate plumbing system integration.
• Provide support in the preparation of cost estimates and project budgets.
• Assist in the review of contractor submittals and shop drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct research on new plumbing technologies and materials for potential project applications.
• Support in troubleshooting plumbing system issues and recommend potential solutions.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation for easy access and review.

Position Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in plumbing design or engineering, preferably in multi-family residential projects.
• Basic understanding of plumbing systems and codes (e.g., IPC, UPC).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel
• Familiarity with BIM software such as Revit is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Valid driver's license for site visits, if required.
