Washroom Sanitation Worker

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented washroom sanitation worker to join our team at a salsa manufacturing facility. This position plays a critical role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations. The ideal candidate will follow strict sanitation protocols and support warehouse operations by ensuring all equipment is clean, safe, and ready for use.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Clean, wash, and sanitize all food processing equipment, utensils, and containers in designated washroom areas.
  • Follow established sanitation procedures and schedules, ensuring compliance with FDA, USDA, and company standards.
  • Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals according to safety data sheets (SDS).
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the washroom, sinks, and sanitation stations.
  • Report any equipment damage or maintenance needs to the warehouse lead or supervisor immediately.
  • Assist with general warehouse cleaning and housekeeping tasks as needed.
  • Ensure proper waste disposal and recycling procedures are followed.
  • Maintain accurate cleaning logs and documentation.
  • Work closely with production and warehouse teams to meet daily sanitation requirements.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous sanitation or cleaning experience in a food manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Comfortable working in wet, humid, and physically demanding environments.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime, as needed.
