Job Description
The Quality Documentation Clerk I will be responsible for assisting the Jr. Quality Engineers with compiling, organizing, and maintaining Quality Department documentation, including photographing key steps of the manufacturing process. An eye for detail is vital to this position to ensure processes and procedures are documented to customer specifications and requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years in the contract manufacturing industry or similar experience a plus
• Experience in engineering or manufacturing related documents a plus
• Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry, medical, or any regulated industry a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawing notes, procedures, work instructions, safety rules, and internal emails.
• Possess the technical knowledge necessary to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job.
• Knowledge of SMT machines, thru-hole assembly and solder processes a plus.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Take high quality photos of key manufacturing steps and finished products. Document and organize photos in the required folder structure.
• Assist the Jr. Quality Engineers with the FAIR (First Article Inspection Report) creation process.
• Collect documents and test results from various file locations and organize them in the required folder structures that will be used to build FAIRs.
• Locate and verify Certificates of Compliance for components used during the assembly process. Save these files in the appropriate folder structure.
• Prefill AS9102 Forms 1 and 3.
• Become familiar with technical drawings and specifications. Learn to interpret drawing specifications and notes. Create Bubble Drawings and document the assembly drawing notes.
• Maintain effective lines of communication with members of the Quality team and other departments via email and Microsoft Teams. Must be able to present data in Excel and Word.
• Perform other tasks as required, which may be assigned as part of cross-training or an employee development plan.
