PennySaver is an outstanding advertising vehicle in print and online. We offer our customers advertising power and value. Our Brea facility is in need of Material Handlers for Day, Swing, and Grave shifts.

Summary

Gather and distribute printed materials to inserting machines and tables. Band and wrap finished products. Participate in crew and PIP meetings. Share information to improve performance and ensure quality delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Estimate and gather the correct number of inserts for a zone.
• Deliver inserts to the assigned area on time to avoid downtime.
• Check received inserts against usage numbers.
• Research shortages.
• Band and deliver skids to staging area.
• Keep work area clean of debris.

Physical Demands

Must be able to stand, walk, reach, push/pull, bend, and carry at least 2/3 of the time. Talk or hear, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl at least 1/3 of the time. Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires close, color, peripheral, and depth perception vision.

Reasoning Ability

Apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.

Work Environment

Work near moving mechanical parts in environments with fumes or particles (2/3 or more of the time). May involve working at heights, around toxic chemicals, and operating a forklift (up to 1/3 of the time). The environment is loud, with ink mist and paper dust present.
