Duties and Responsibilities: Uses crane to carry ladles from furnace. Moves overhead crane with ladle to pouring location. Pour metal into molds. Skims slag out of ladle, as required. Changes jackets and weights to control material consistency and forming.

Skills: Knowledge of pouring techniques. Knowledge of machinery and molten metals hazards. Able to recognize changes in metal temperature. Ability to weigh and measure silicates.

Special Requirements: May require appropriate company certification in the operation of a forklift. Ability to use safety gear, including helmet, glasses, mask, ear plugs, shoes, and leggings.
