Essential Functions:

  • Oversees assigned staff including but not limited to scheduling, directing, assigning work, and ensuring tasks/projects are completed in a timely manner and adheres to operational standards.
  • Motivates employees, assists in goals setting, provides development opportunities and performance feedback, and addresses complaints and provides resolutions.
  • Maintains and updates standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Provides timely communication, updates and any issues or concerns to management.
  • Develops and implements work schedules for maximum efficiency and as workflow designates.
  • Ensures product acquisition and dispersals for satellite locations, kiosks, and point of sale (POS) locations.
  • Determines and maintains inventory of cafeteria items and products including but not limited to food ingredients, drinks, snacks, and disposables.
  • Places purchase orders with vendors. Verifies accuracy of cost, quantities, and product specifications. Resolves any issues and discrepancies.
  • Monitors product movement to kiosks and point of sale locations.
  • Maintains vending machine inventory and maintenance reports. Collects money from vending machines.
  • Maintains cigarette inventory control and inventory reports.
  • Maintains adequate inventory levels to meet forecast for future sales.
  • Analyzes various reports to determine removal and/or replacement of items based on sales data.
  • Assists staff in facilitation of merchandise stock. Utilizes FIFO (first in, first out) system for perishable items.
  • Organizes and plans merchandising.
  • Receives and stores items for merchandising and kitchen use.
  • Keeps storeroom clean and organized.
  • Ensures proper functioning of campus cafeteria equipment. Timely reports repair requests with Facilities and/or Operations teams and follow up as necessary.
  • Prepares salads, sauces, and desserts according to established preparation methods.
  • Inspects food items, work areas, etc. to prevent cross-contamination of food borne illnesses.
  • Trains team of Expresso machine usage, refilling, and cleaning.
  • Operates cash register to compute bills; ensures accuracy of collection and disbursement money.
  • Modifies and issues receipts to customers.
  • Utilizes instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform daily functions.
  • Washes pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and other cooking equipment as necessary.
  • Prepares and delivers prepared food items.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum three (3) years of office, purchasing, or related relevant experience

Pay Range: $19.65-$24.00/hr
