Summary:
Assigns work for Company and owner operator trailer drivers for conveyance of freight by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Compiles and maintains list of available drivers.
- Assigns trucks according to availability, purpose of trip, and freight.
- Issues record sheets, and all related paperwork to drivers.
- Trouble shooting and notifying appropriate parties of any changes.
- Records time of departure, destination, cargo, and expected time of return.
- Investigates overdue vehicles.
- Directs activities of drivers by two-way radio.
- Confers with customers to expedite or locate missing, misrouted, delayed, or damaged merchandise.
- Heavy communication with drivers on a daily basis.
- Spanish fluency required
- Position is full time and on-site.
