ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK
Location: Cerritos, CA
Pay: $22-$25 per hour

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice-to-PO matching, invoice coding, documentation review, approval routing, and invoice entry.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of all invoices.
• Verify all invoices are coded to correct GL accounts, departments, and locations.
• Review vendor statements regularly to identify outstanding invoices.
• Monitor purchase orders for pending invoices.
• Maintain and update vendor account information.
• Sort and distribute incoming mail.
• Prioritize invoices based on payment terms.
• Respond to internal and external vendor inquiries; research and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Assist with month-end closing activities.
• Maintain organized and accurate filing systems in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Support additional accounting or administrative projects as required.

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
• High school diploma required; accounting coursework preferred.
• Experience with Brightorder/Kona preferred.
• Purchasing/procurement experience is a plus.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Highly organized and self-motivated; able to follow standardized filing procedures.
• Detail-oriented with a professional demeanor.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and 10-key by touch; Sage ERP experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, documentation requirements, and data analysis.
• Knowledge of accounts payable/general ledger processes and financial chart of accounts.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with employees and vendors.
• Able to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.
• Ability to perform mathematical computations (percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) quickly and accurately.
