Quality Inspector

As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting visual and dimensional inspections for Receiving, First Article, In-Process, and Final Inspections on aviation parts, ranging from details to top assemblies. While aerospace experience is not mandatory, it is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience in QC inspections, using calipers and micrometers, and the ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities:

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections for Receiving, First Article, In-Process, and Final Inspections on aviation parts.
• Understand and apply visual and cosmetic standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Utilize measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, and indicators.
• Write inspection reports and nonconformance reports.
• Participate in understanding root causes and corrective actions.
• Review supplier certifications for conformance to requirements.
• Collect data for statistical analysis.
• Interpret tolerances and geometrical and positional tolerance requirements.

Essential Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Proficiency in using measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gages, and indicators.
• Capability to perform visual and dimensional inspections.
• Experience in writing inspection and nonconformance reports.
• Understanding of root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Knowledge of precision measuring instruments used in mechanical inspection.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma is required.
• Aerospace experience is preferred but not required.

Work Environment:

The work environment is a very large, clean manufacturing facility. The company manufactures products for the interiors of Boeing 737 aircrafts, including galleys, closets, lavatories, floor panels, class dividers, and sidewalls.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntington Beach, CA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
