The Role

The Senior Programmer will develop, maintain, and support applications and workflows used in the creation and production of transactional documents. This includes transforming client data, writing scripts, handling composition files, building automation routines, and ensuring files flow smoothly into print, insertion, and mailing operations.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical problem‑solving, data manipulation, and building reliable systems in a deadline‑driven environment.

Remote/Hybrid** – If in commutable distance to our Anaheim location.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm PST
We are flexible for starting times between 7:30am-6:00pm PST.

Responsibilities

  • Program and maintain workflows that convert client data into print‑ready forms
  • Develop and maintain document composition files using internal tools
  • Create scripts and utilities for data validation, transformation, and automation (e.g. Python, PowerShell, VBScript, C#, or similar platforms)
  • Build, test, and troubleshoot templates for statements, letters, bills, and other transactional documents
  • Support daily production by generating output files, fixing errors, and ensuring accurate job execution
  • Collaborate with Account Management and Operations teams to meet client specifications and deadlines
  • Maintain documentation related to workflows, processes, data layouts, and job instructions
  • Ensure all programming practices comply with security requirements (SOC, HIPAA, if applicable)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or certifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 5+ years programming experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles
  • Experience providing IT solutions
  • Visual FoxPro/.Net C# experience
  • Crystal Reports experience
  • SQL Server experience
  • Must be familiar with all phases of software development, testing, and problem solving
  • Disciplined team player with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work on multiple projects
  • Ability to learn new software applications quickly3
  • Ability to modify code written by others
  • Attention to detail
