  • work closely with the Managing Shareholder and Senior Associates to craft innovative, practical, and effective legal solutions tailored to the unique circumstances and needs of each particular client;
  • handle complex litigation matters from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, propounding and responding to discovery, conducting depositions, representing clients in court proceedings, arguing motions, and communicating with other parties' counsel;
  • prepare for and participate in mediations, including strategy for and analysis of settlement proposals;
  • assist in trial preparation, including conducting thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies, and attend trial with lead counsel;
  • manage client communications, seeking feedback as necessary, to ensure clarity, responsiveness, and strategic alignment at every stage of a matter; and
  • perform other duties assigned.

Qualifications

We are looking for one full‑time, on‑site Junior Associate Attorney in our Irvine office, with the flexibility to work remotely as appropriate. This position will report to the Managing Shareholder and to Senior Associates at the firm. Successful candidates will possess:

  • a J.D. from an ABA accredited law school required;
  • a license to practice law in the State of California required;
  • 1+ year of experience required;
  • hands‑on experience reviewing and drafting pleadings, law and motion, and discovery required;
  • hands‑on experience reviewing and analyzing evidence required;
  • experience with the California Code of Civil Procedure and Evidence Code required;
  • experience with the California Probate Code preferred;
  • detail‑oriented research, writing, and advocacy skills required;
  • mediation experience preferred;
  • trial experience preferred;
  • working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Westlaw, and Zoom preferred;
  • motivation, ambition, and a strong work ethic required;
  • effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex cases concurrently required;
  • ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, with a demonstrated history of meeting billable hour requirements required;
  • proven ability to foster strong relationships with potential clients while maintaining excellent services for existing clients required;
  • actively engaged in the legal community, including service to local organizations required.
