GENERAL STATEMENT OF POSITION

Under general supervision, the Maintenance Supervisor assists the Director of Environmental Services in overseeing the work of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance staff to support our vision of maintaining the appearance and preservation of our community. Works involves scheduling, directing and participating in daily in specialized maintenance and repairs to facility, reviewing and inspecting the work of subordinate personnel to ensure effective and efficient performance of duties, and enforcing safety requirements. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the physical environment of the community. This position will assign, assist and supervise the day-to-day functions of maintenance personnel and interpret department policies and procedures as well as interface with resident and resident families regarding maintenance problems and any other information as requested. As a representative and team member of environmental services department, this position is expected to present oneself in a manner that reflects professionalism and ensures resident satisfaction.

POSITION CLASSIFICATION: FLSA Classification - Non Exempt.

Schedule : Full-Time, Monday - Friday.

  • Must be available on-call, holidays and weekends.
Pay : $30 to $35 an hour, depending on experience.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Experience/Training -
  • Two years' prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Four to six years' experience in general or commercial maintenance.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations -
  • CFC Certification preferred to perform HVAC work. PA.,
  • CPO certifications may be required
Education -
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associates degree and/or completion of trade school preferred.
  • Some college may be considered in lieu of experience.
