About the Role
We're looking for an Accommodation Specialist who's passionate about helping people thrive at work. In this role, you'll make a real impact by supporting employees who need workplace accommodations - ensuring the process is fair, compassionate, and compliant with laws like the ADA and PWFA. You'll partner closely with leaders, HR, Legal, and Employee Relations across all our facilities to guide employees through every step of the interactive process.
What You'll Do
- Lead the full accommodation process - from intake and consultation to documentation and resolution.
- Work directly with employees and leaders to find reasonable accommodations that help everyone succeed.
- Review medical documentation to understand job-related needs and recommend practical solutions.
- Partner with HR, Operations, and Workers' Comp to coordinate workplace changes, adaptive equipment, or schedule adjustments.
- Keep detailed, confidential records that meet all compliance standards.
- Train and coach managers on how to handle accommodation requests with empathy and care.
- Track trends, share insights, and help us improve how we support our team members.
What We're Looking For - Solid understanding of ADA, PWFA, FMLA, and state-specific accommodation laws (especially CA, WA, ID, OR).
- 5+ years in HR, employee relations, or occupational health, including 2+ years managing accommodation cases.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills - you know how to handle sensitive conversations with empathy.
- Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple cases at once.
- Experience with HRIS or case management systems (like Workday or AbsenceSoft) and Microsoft Office.
- Background in healthcare, assisted living, or hospital settings is a big plus.
Bonus Points For - PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification.
- ADA Coordinator (ACTCP) or similar training.
- Coursework in Occupational Health, Disability Management, or Employment Law.

Additional Information Pay Rate: $36 - $45 / hour; Depending on Experience
