MACHINE SHOP OPERATOR

Position Overview:

Extron is looking to add a Machine Shop Operator to work at our Anaheim, CA location. You will work within our New Product Introduction Team. Hours for this position are from 7:00am to 3:30pm.

Qualified Candidates Will Have:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience setting up and operating HAAS 3 axis CNC Milling machines.
• Ability to set up a Milling machine using a Renishaw optical probe.
• Experience with the set up and operation of Lathes and Conventional Milling machines.
• Must be able to keep machines, work area, and equipment clean and free of debris always.
• Ability to read electro-mechanical component and assembly drawings, set up sheets, layouts, and hand sketches or charts to determine material needed, sequence of operations, and dimensions and tooling.
• Experience using all types of shop floor measuring inspection equipment to inspect parts.
• Experience with CNC programming and welding (TIG/MIG/ARC/Oxyacetylene) a plus.
• Experience properly maintaining coolant as necessary, including removal of contaminants, proper dilution ratios and cleaning and recharging machines coolant when necessary.
• Experience in the sheet metal fabrication processes.
• Must be hands-on and able to operate grinders, punches, drill presses, press brake, band saws, and other machine shop equipment.
• Ability to lift metal and plastic stock manual and position/secure it in machines.
• Strong attention to detail, highly organized, computer literate.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional environment.
• HAAS factory milling machine training course certification or equivalent a plus.

Salary Range: $26.00 to $28.00 per hour. Pay may vary depending on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
