Manager, Operations Project Management

The Manager, Operations Project Management plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and transformation within the operations organization. This role will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering complex strategic operational projects that improve business processes, enhance efficiency, and support operations strategic goals. Reporting into the Director, Operations Project Management this role will ensure we are executing against the operations strategy and communicating with all key cross-functional partners.

Project Leadership and Management:

  • Lead and manage the full project lifecycle for complex operational initiatives (e.g., process redesigns, supply chain optimizations, or supplier transitions)
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Identify, track, and manage project risks and dependencies, developing mitigation strategies proactively
  • Oversee and coordinate cross-functional project teams, providing guidance, direction, and motivation

Stakeholder Communication and Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project communication, providing regular updates to leadership and key stakeholders
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables
  • Facilitate decision-making processes and resolve conflicts among project participants

Operational Excellence and Process Improvement:

  • Analyze current operational processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement
  • Drive the implementation of best practices, new technologies, and revised workflows to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs
  • Develop metrics and KPIs to measure project success and the effectiveness of operational changes post-implementation

Documentation and Governance:

  • Understand when to use established project management methodologies and when to think outside of the box to get things done
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including charters, requirements, risk logs, and final reports
  • Conduct thorough pre- and post-mortem analyses to act on and capture lessons learned for continuous improvement of project management processes

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree or CAPM/PMP certification preferred but not required
  • 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional or strategic projects in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Ability to travel 10-20% for company meetings, team meetings, company offsites, company onboarding, and other business needs
  • Ability to visit manufacturing sites, warehouses, and distribution centers as part of project planning and project management
  • Strong communicator and collaboratorable to align teams, drive clarity, and keep projects moving through ambiguity
  • Skilled at balancing structure with flexibility; knows when to follow process and when to prioritize progress
  • Experience with Smartsheet or similar project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com, MS Project)
  • Naturally curious and proactivecomfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on levels
