The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for planning and coordinating the functions of North America Payroll including being responsible for monitoring all tasks necessary to accomplish the company's payroll processing objectives and maintaining relationships with external auditors and tax government agencies. You'll need at least three (3) years of experience in payroll processing and systems and related software programs and welcome the opportunity to make an impact from day one.? This role will preferably based in Irvine, CA on a hybrid schedule Tuesday/Thursday.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
As a key member of the HR team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
* Analyzes, prepares and inputs payroll data using an automated system to produce accurate and timely payroll, and ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
* Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.) for management.
* Maintains current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws, SOX compliance, etc.
* Facilitates management and employee understanding of payroll procedures.
* Assists managers with resolving payroll discrepancies.
* Calculates hours from time entry system(s) as applicable.
* Assists with HR related projects.
* Assists with evaluating and providing recommendations in regard to systems, policies and processes.
* Assists with completing pre-acquisition and post-acquisition support tasks related to payroll integration and training, etc.
* Assists with items needed for audits.
* Maintains confidentiality at all times.
* Exercises safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs.
* Participates in company's continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts.
* Keeps up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
* 3+ years of experience with payroll systems and related software programs
* High school diploma/GED
* Familiarity with Workday, ADP Smart Compliance, ADP Payment Solutions, or other HRIS/Payroll systems highly preferred
* Knowledge of government regulations as they apply to payroll, company policies, and operations.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel/management
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills
* Excellent organization and time/project management skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Able to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities (i.e. self-starter, self-motivated)
* English language competency
* Ability/willingness to travel as needed
