Position Overview
Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join their team in Irvine, California. This position involves supporting a residential property management company with quarterly and annual projects. The successful candidate will have a robust understanding of accounting principles and excellent organizational skills, making them a valuable addition to a dynamic environment. This is a 100% ONSITE role.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile Reserves: Ensure accuracy and completeness of reserve accounts through timely reconciliations.
- Escheatment: Assist with identifying and reporting unclaimed property in compliance with applicable laws.
- Mortgage Posts: Accurately record mortgage-related transactions and reconcile accounts.
- Property Taxes: Support the property tax preparation and payment process to ensure compliance and timely filing.
- Audit Support: Assist with providing documentation and account analysis for internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (required).
- 2-3 years of experience in general corporate accounting or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
