Smart Circle International is a leading broker of outsourced sales and customer acquisition services. We help clients and independently owned and operated sales companies grow together through versatile in-person marketing and sales campaigns inside retailers, businesses and through door-to-door canvassing. We have corporate offices in Newport Beach and Toronto.
The Basics:
Location: Hybrid, 3 days on-site at our Newport Beach, CA office
Compensation: $110,000-$160,000/year, commensurate with experience
Travel: Up to 25%
Position Overview and Impact:
As the Sr. Data Automation Engineer, you will engineer, integrate, and enable critical insights from Salesforce, Microsoft, and Snowflake platforms. This pivotal role bridges data strategy, automation, and business enablement. You will enhance our data pipeline for performance, reliability, and scalability across platforms to drive insights, automation, and operational efficiencies. You will secure and manage the data pipeline, orchestrate enterprise automations, create and maintain mission-critical datasets and reports in Tableau, and maintain compliance with data privacy laws and policies.
As a cross-functional leader, you'll collaborate with stakeholders across sales, finance, and operations to design data flows, streamline processes, and ensure secure, high-performing environments for insight. The ideal candidate is a problem solver at heart, with strong technical expertise and a passion for data architecture and continuous improvement.
Primary Functions:
Salesforce Platform:
- Customize Salesforce data model and automations to align with business requirements.
- Manage data governance and integrate external systems.
- Support users, optimize performance, and ensure compliance.
Tableau and Database Administration: - Design dashboards with advanced calculations and manage data layers and security.
- Administer access controls and tune performance.
- Develop scalable databases in SQL Server and Snowflake.
- Optimize SQL scripts, support reporting, and maintain ETL pipelines.
Enterprise Scheduling & Automation: - Design and schedule automations and workflows.
- Monitor and optimize job performance and implement alerting mechanisms.
- Maintain documentation and security protocols.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance automation reliability and effectiveness.
What You Bring:
Strong hands-on expertise with Salesforce, Tableau, Microsoft SQL Server, and Snowflake.
Proven experience delivering self-service, sales-facing reports in Tableau
Demonstrated ability to manage data pipelines in multi-platform environments
Deep understanding of data governance, system integration, and automation
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
Experience with system integration tools and strategies (e.g., APIs, middleware)
Salesforce Platform and Administration certifications (preferred)
Snowflake certifications (preferred)
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities in sales operations environment
Minimum Qualifications::
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field
At least 5 years of recent experience developing datasets, procedures, and functions in Microsoft SQL Server and Snowflake
