About Company / Opportunity:
We are a boutique investment firm specializing in property management within the multi-family sector. With a collaborative culture and supportive leadership, we offer a great opportunity for a Controller to take on a pivotal role in managing accounting functions for a portfolio of properties.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee property accounting functions at both the corporate and individual property levels (75% of the role).
• Focus on acquisitions, integrating new properties, and coordinating with lenders (25% of the role).
• Manage a team of 3-5 people within the accounting department.
• Collaborate closely with the executive team on strategic initiatives.

Must-Have Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Proven experience in real estate and property management accounting, with a focus on multi-family properties preferred.
• Proficiency in property management software, including Appfolio, Yardi, RealPage, or similar.
• Strong understanding of property acquisitions and onboarding processes.
• Ability to work independently and hit the ground running.
