About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Specialist to join our dynamic HR team in Irvine, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for managing employee relations and overseeing the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, transfers, promotions, and offboarding. You will also help ensure compliance with employment laws across Canada, the USA, and Mexico.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employees regarding workplace policies, concerns, and conflicts
  • Foster a positive and supportive work environment through open communication and trust-building
  • Develop and implement effective onboarding programs to ensure smooth new-hire integration
  • Coordinate employee transfers and promotions, ensuring seamless transitions and proper documentation
  • Oversee offboarding processes, including exit interviews, collection of company property, and completion of administrative tasks
  • Ensure HR practices comply with local labor laws in Canada, the USA, and Mexico
  • Maintain accurate employee records within HR information systems
  • Generate reports for management review and decision-making
  • Stay current with evolving employment laws and adjust internal policies accordingly
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support company-wide HR initiatives

Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2+ years of HR experience, with an emphasis on employee relations, onboarding, and offboarding
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations in Canada, the USA, and Mexico
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Proficiency with HR information systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel proficiency required)
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
