About the Role

The Manufacturing Planner is responsible for orchestrating the entire production process, ensuring efficiency and timely delivery. They develop master schedules, manage inventory, coordinate workflows, and monitor production to meet customer demand and company goals.


Responsibilities

  • This person will ensure that production lines flow without incident and orders are scheduled for maximum throughput, customer satisfaction and on-time performance.
  • Review all new orders and release work orders to Production.
  • Resolve ERP system issues as related to planning, work order processing and material transactions.
  • Coordinate material requirement dates with Procurement.
  • Act as a catalyst between Production, Program Management, Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Stockroom and Quality to resolve the issues of each stakeholder ensuring continuous production flow.
  • Maintain an accounting of all assemblies in work in process.
  • Inform Management of open order status, open issues to complete orders in a timely manner and revise delivery dates as required when production is impacted.
  • Initiate and implement continuous improvement projects related to planning and on-time deliveries.
  • Write, revise and review department work instructions as required.
  • Verification of accompanying documents for shipments and WO completion.
  • Oversee Packaging and Transportation (carrier or deliveries) functions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a closely related field; OR, equivalent related work experience.
  • Working knowledge of ERP or MRP systems, EPICOR is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, compose written specifications/solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • APICS certification is a plus.
  • Must be a US Person

  • ADA REQUIREMENTS: The key physical requirements for this position include the ability to use standard office equipment including PC's, fax, and copy machine, movement within a standard office and distribution warehouse area, walking, sitting, standing, climbing, carrying, pushing/pulling and lifting 1–60 pounds occasionally.
