Work generally includes retail centers, medical buildings, office buildings, homeowner communities, convenience stores and many other locations. Our projects range from $20k - $3 mil and business is always growing.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site Construction Estimator role at ProWest Engineering, Inc. in Orange, CA. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for tasks such as construction estimating, quantity take-offs, cost management, communication, and budgeting.

Estimator Responsibilities

Develop accurate take off from plans and field visits

Develop detailed scopes of work

Develop clear and accurate proposals

Communicate, report, and promptly resolve any issues in the field

Maintain a thorough understanding of contract documents

Review and understand material budgets and negotiate purchase orders

Review and understand equipment budgets and negotiate rental rates

Monitor project costs and identify areas for improvement

Experience and Education

Bachelor's degree in related field or 3-5 years of applicable experience

Experience with relevant large-scale concrete and asphalt projects

Strong working relationships with subcontractors

Knowledge of construction principles & practices required

Excellent organizational, team management, problem solving, motivational skills
