Responsibilities

As the Warehouse Supervisor, your duties will include but are not limited to

• Overseeing and managing all warehouse activities, ensuring all tasks are carried out efficiently and effectively in line with company policies and procedures.
• Implementing and maintaining safety standards in accordance with regulatory requirements, ensuring strict compliance at all times.
• Coordinating and monitoring the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
• Organizing and maintaining inventory and storage area, ensuring inventory accuracy and integrity by carefully managing physical counts and bin locations.
• Training, guiding, and evaluating warehouse staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and boosts morale.
• Implementing operational policies and procedures to increase productivity and performance levels.
• Managing relationships with transport companies and suppliers, ensuring a smooth flow of goods to and from the warehouse.
• Planning and coordinating logistics for incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Regularly reviewing and analyzing warehouse costs, implementing cost reduction strategies where necessary.
  
  

Qualifications

The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a warehouse setting, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience in implementing and maintaining safety compliance standards.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven record of motivating and leading a team.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
• Proficient in using warehouse management software and databases.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think quickly and make effective decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A high level of physical fitness, as the role will involve some manual handling tasks.
• A degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field would be advantageous.
