Aluminum extrusion and building products manufacturing corporation with locations in 3 states is seeking a Corporate Controller to lead the closing process for several business units, work closely with other accounting personnel on quarterly corporate consolidations, and take the lead on tax-related special projects. The position requires a highly motivated and experienced team player with strong accounting management skills. The role will supervise the preparation and review of monthly financial statements, AR/AP, and payroll functions. Please forward salary expectations.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Monthly Closing of Books for Three Corporate Divisions
2. Preparation of financial package
3. Review of AP and receiving transactions
4. Review monthly inventories with the cost accountant
5. Monthly bank reconciliations
6. Collaborate with CFO and other accounting staff
7. Coordinate with team to resolve open accounting issues and close periods promptly
8. Assist junior staff with account reconciliation and financial statement preparation
9. Work with the Cost Accountant on material cost issues and year-end inventory results
10. Review and advise on monthly payroll journals from Payroll Manager
11. Participate in multi-site physical inventory each Nov 30th
12. Assist outside auditors on periodic financial issues
13. Review and advise on quarterly intercompany sales and purchase eliminations
14. Reconcile year-end and mid-year intercompany receivables and payables
15. File monthly and quarterly returns for sales and use tax
16. Manage responses to any audits that arise
17. Manage special projects as they arise
18. Liaison for state sales tax audits
19. Assist auditors with federal and state audits
20. Review annual property tax data for submission to property tax consultants
21. File periodic business license renewals at city and state levels
22. Assist with system changeovers and develop critical financial reports

Requisite Skills:

• Experience with automated financial environments, ERP, and cost accounting programs
• Oracle E-Business Suite experience is a plus
• Familiarity with personal property and sales/use tax return preparation
• Good communication skills and ability to work well with others
• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required
• Master's degree in accounting, CPA, CFA, or other financial accreditation is strongly preferred
