Description

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Mainframe Developer with a focus on job automation and development support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, enhancing, and maintaining mainframe systems, while also offering technical expertise and support to development teams. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and modernization of our mainframe operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and related technologies.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline processes, such as job scheduling and batch workflows, using tools like REXX, CA-7, or Control-M.
• Provide development support by assisting teams in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving code or system-related issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Optimize mainframe applications for performance and scalability, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
• Document automated processes, development workflows, and code modifications for transparency and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed about emerging trends in mainframe development and automation to recommend innovative solutions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience as a Mainframe Developer, with a proven track record in automation and development support.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
