Required Qualifications:

  • Current California Nurses Assistant Certification; Current BLS provider.
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year acute care experience as a C.N.A.
  • High School graduate or equivalent or above.
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms.

Physical Requirements: Position involves standing and walking for long periods of time, approximately 75% of the workday; Must be able to transfer and lift patients as necessary; Weight will vary from patient to patient; Must have the dexterity, coordination, and visual and auditory acuity to perform all job responsibilities; Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; Must be free from signs of illness and infection.
