Job Description
Skyworks Solutions, Inc. is seeking a trade compliance subject matter expert to join our Global Trade Compliance group. Reporting directly to the Director of Global Trade Compliance, this position will play a critical role in facilitating the daily import and export compliance activities associated with the global movement of Skyworks' materials and products. This position can be based in any of our North American locations, with a preference for Austin, TX, Woburn, MA, or Irvine, CA, or our Japan or Singapore locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Classify products and technology according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), EAR, and ITAR, interacting with engineers and business leaders as necessary
Conduct denied party screening, implement and clear trade blocks, and analyze and resolve blocked documents
Lead NextGen internal screening system upgrade, manage system implementation with IT and supplier, track bug fixes and drive continuous improvement.
Prepare, file, provide guidance on, and check Automated Export System (AES) filings to ensure filings are accurate
Conduct internal audits and assessments to identify compliance gaps and implement corrective actions
Maintain necessary import and export compliance records
Support the development, implementation, and regular update of policies and procedures addressing export controls, EAR and ITAR, including procedures related to recordkeeping, storage, and access of EAR and ITAR-controlled technical data, and other trade compliance matters as well as OFAC, anti-corruption, and anti-boycott regulations
Assist with drafting export license applications and other export authorizations
Assist with duty drawbacks, reconciliations and reductions in different countries
Assist with C-TPAT compliance program and associated audits
Assist with APAC trade compliance needs for both customs and export requirements
Requirements
Bachelor's degree
5+ years of experience in trade compliance
In-depth understanding of federal export control laws and regulations, including U.S. export administration regulations (EAR), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT), U.S. Foreign Trade Regulations, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Regulations, U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), U.S. Anti-boycott Regulations, Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) Classifications and Valuation Agreement, Country of Origin/Marking & Labeling Requirements, and Duty Preference Programs
Experience with product classification (HTS, ECCN, ITAR, and USML)
Experience with denied parties screening
Experience navigating the CBP's ACE portal
Experience implementing, mapping, and documenting processes
Experience working in the global logistics industry, the semiconductor industry, or another technology manufacturing sector with similar trade compliance issues is preferred
Experience with SAP is a plus

Familiarity with Singapore, Japan, China, or Taiwan compliance regulations is a plus
English fluency is mandatory; Spanish language capability is a plus
Ability to travel domestically and internationally occasionally

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $76,100 - $138,900 per year . Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
