Our client is hiring a HR Shared Services Representative I:
Location: Fully onsite in Tustin, CA
Shift: 8am-5pm
GENERAL SUMMARY
The HR Shared Services Representative I will provide overall HR support to the Human Resources Department, associates and external customers. Resolve moderately complex to difficult issues with minimal guidance from HR Leadership. Maintains information systems, and prepares and processes necessary documentation, as requested. Resolves matters pertaining to payroll, leave of absence, HR policies and procedures, compensation, performance management, time off plans, Union Collective Bargaining Agreements, and associate benefit programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Through telephone or email support, resolve questions or issues with the goal of resolving within defined timelines.
· Uses fundamental HR knowledge to research and resolve moderately detailed and complex issues that were unable to be resolved during first contact.
· Collaborate with subject matter experts or Centers of Excellence (COEs) to resolve inquiries and triages more complex questions and issues appropriately.
· Educates associates on company practices and tools, including but not limited to HR management, learning management, and timekeeping systems.
· Using excellent communication and customer service skills, provide accurate, consistent, and timely responses and explanations regarding HR-related questions and issues. Focused on setting expectation levels and demonstrating customer-driven ethics.
· Support of HR cyclical processes including but not limited to compensation, talent management, annual government report, and various other projects/ad-hoc requests.
· Perform audits of HR management system on a regular basis to ensure data integrity.
· Assist with data entry into the HR management system, including but not limited to entering associate transactions, general updates to associate records and position management maintenance.
· Assist with training new HR Shared Service Representatives on HRSS responsibilities.
· Develop and generate reports based on specific requirements from different departments.
· Performs additional duties as assigned by Management.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION: bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in HR, Business, or related field.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: This position requires the ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. This position also requires the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. This position further requires effective organizational and interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: This position requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. This position also requires the ability to compute ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: This position requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. This position also requires the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
