Job Title: Vice President of Purchasing
Location: Irvine, Orange County
Candidates must have prior purchasing experience working for a residential builder, this can be multifamily or single-family homebuilding.
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Purchasing to lead our procurement strategy for our residential building projects. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of materials sourcing and supplier management in the homebuilding industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute purchasing strategies that align with company goals.
- Oversee all aspects of procurement processes for residential construction, including negotiation, vendor selection, and contract management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure optimal pricing and delivery timelines.
- Analyze market trends and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly to minimize costs and maximize quality.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as construction, finance, and project management to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage and mentor the purchasing team, fostering professional growth and development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in purchasing/supply chain management, preferably within the homebuilding or construction industry.
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing teams effectively.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
