Job Purpose

Reporting to the Sr. Project Manager of Development, the Project Manager will lead the development and execution of commercial and industrial-scale renewable energy projects in Southern California. This role requires a proactive individual who takes pride in delivering high-quality projects and fostering strong client relationships in the renewable energy sector. This is a hybrid role. The ideal candidate will be working in the Dana Point or Ontario office 2x a week and onsite at projects in the LA metro area at least 1x per week.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, ensuring consistent, timely, and high-quality project execution.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to clients throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining trust and satisfaction.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of deliverables with permitting agencies, interconnection utilities, site hosts, design professionals, and internal project controls to advance projects to the construction phase.
• Manage resource allocation, scheduling, contracting, budgeting, and quality control throughout all construction phases.
• Ensure smooth project closeouts, including thorough testing, commissioning, quality assurance, and final energization for delivery to the project owner.
• Maintain and monitor project schedules, budgets, submittals, RFIs, and other deliverables to achieve milestones and maintain key performance metrics.
• Provide regular reporting, including weekly updates, look-ahead schedules, critical path analyses, and milestone projections.
• Collaborate with procurement, financing, accounting, and other internal teams to ensure seamless material and resource flow.
• Work closely with subcontractors to develop accurate estimates, contracts, scopes of work, and project deliverables.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, organization, problem-solving and technical proficiency to drive project success.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (engineering or renewable energy preferred).
• 2+ years of experience as a Project Manager in construction, renewable energy, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in the solar industry, with a focus on project development or construction management.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Procore, and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Familiarity with permitting, interconnection processes, and construction standards in the renewable energy sector.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
