Position Summary

The Admission Coordinator is responsible for creating outreach to the local community to increase and maintain occupation levels.

The purpose of the Admission Coordinator position is to focus on business development and implementation of a marketing program that meets or exceeds the facilities budgeted census goals and objectives.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Markets the facility within the local community and to potential referral sources. Responsible for assuring appropriate census and resident mix.
  • Conducts assessments to identify residents for potential admission.
  • Educates families through literature, facility tours, and coordinated department head consultation to answer questions and concerns.
  • Completes cost/benefits analysis of treatment plans and negotiates appropriate rates.
  • Assists new residents with orientation and transition to the community.
  • Maintains up-to-date information on overall products trends and competitors including pricing, services offered, bed availability and market strategies.


Specific Requirements
  • Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Well groomed, professional and possess ability to work harmoniously with other personnel.
  • Ability to effectively develop the marketing and selling skills of other individuals who do not directly report to the position.
  • Knowledgeable of administrative practices and procedures related to marketing department.
  • Maintain patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as ability to handle residents, staff, and visitors, based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning.


Education and Experience Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Marketing, Business or Healthcare Management.
  • Experience in a sales/marketing function required.
  • Experience in a healthcare related field preferred.

Pay Range: $19-$23- F/T
