PEOPLE & CULTURE BENEFITS PROGRAM MANAGER
Rocket Lab's People & Culture department is seeking a highly skilled Benefits Program Manager at our Headquarters in Long Beach, CA to play a critical role in developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate our talented workforce. You will be responsible for ensuring that our benefits offerings are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with our strategic goals. This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of benefits administration.
WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO: The role's responsibilities
Program Development and Management
*
* Align benefits programs with Rocket Lab's strategic goals and ensure they meet legal requirements and industry standards.
* Conduct regular market research and benchmarking to ensure the competitiveness of our benefits offerings.
* Monitor expenditures and make recommendations for cost-saving opportunities without compromising the quality of benefits provided.
Vendor Management
*
* Evaluate and select vendors for various benefits programs based on company needs and employee preferences.
Employee Communication & Support
*
* Provide support and guidance to employees regarding their benefits, resolving any issues, and addressing their concerns promptly and effectively.
Policy Compliance & Reporting
*
* Prepare and submit necessary reports to regulatory bodies and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of benefits programs.
* Lead and manage special projects and initiatives to enhance the overall employee experience.
* Complete other assigned duties as requested.
YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in benefits administration and program management, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
* Strong understanding of benefits regulations and compliance requirements.
* Proven experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
* Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration software.
THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:
* 8+ years of overall related experience
* A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CEBS, PHR, SPHR) is a plus.
* Workday or other people systems certifications
* Experience in the aerospace or technology sectors
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
* Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, operate computer keyboard and controls, and communicate verbally and in writing.
* Must be physically able to commute to buildings
* Occasional exposure to dust, fumes and moderate levels of noise.
Level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one component of our total rewards package at Rocket Lab. Base Pay Range (CA Only)
$105,000-$140,000 USD
