Youth Activities Supervisor
For over 50 years, Big Canyon Country Club has been serving generations of families with outstanding golf, food, recreation, and companionship. Within the luxurious and relaxing setting of Newport Beach, members and their guests are met with endless memories and enjoyment while at Big Canyon and especially within the wellness area of the club. The Wellness Center offers something for everyone as we promote healthy minds, bodies, and overall well-being.
The Youth Activities Supervisor assists in the organization and supervision of a variety of recreation programs including Kids Camp, Kids Night Out, and Club Youth events. The Youth Activities Supervisor oversees staff to make sure day-to-day operations are running smoothly.
Duties and Responsibilities
+ Coordinating recreation programming including youth activities, holiday events and all family programming
+ Plan and execute a full day, multi-week youth summer camp, and junior sports camp.
+ Maintains an understanding of the needs of youth and families to enhance programming that has already been established as well as creation of new programming.
+ Plans and attends the Junior and Youth Activities Committee meeting and communicates with committee members regarding youth events and programming.
+ Assists with the regular operations of the Wellness Department, including covering the Wellness desk as necessary.
+ Works collaboratively with Club Events Manager to assist in booking vendors and ordering supplies needed for all events
+ Maintains records on program activities, attendance, cost of services, and other related information
+ Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager
Qualifications
Skills and Qualifications
+ Must have previous experience in creating and coordinating youth programs
+ Previous country club experience preferred
+ Ability to effectively communicate and work with various departments and members
+ Must have excellent organization skills and attention to detail
+ Completion of American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED training within three months of hire and maintain certification throughout employment
+ Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays, and will be required to work major events at the Club
+ Possess a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with all departments and members
