Job Details:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Water Treatment Technician to join our dynamic team in the Engineering industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving the water treatment systems in our facilities. This position is permanent, requiring a full-time commitment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in water systems, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for ensuring the highest standards of water quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

As a Water Treatment Technician, your duties will include but are not limited to:

1. Operating and maintaining water treatment equipment and machinery, ensuring they are in good working condition at all times.
2. Conducting regular inspections and tests on water samples to identify any potential issues or contaminants.
3. Interpreting test results and making necessary adjustments to treatment processes to ensure compliance with water quality standards.
4. Troubleshooting and repairing any malfunctions in the water treatment systems.
5. Implementing preventive maintenance programs for all water treatment equipment and machinery.
6. Complying with all safety and environmental regulations related to water treatment.
7. Documenting all work performed, including any issues identified and actions taken.
8. Keeping up-to-date with advancements in water treatment technologies and methodologies.
9. Providing training and guidance to other team members on water treatment processes and procedures.
10. Collaborating with other team members and departments to ensure the overall efficiency and effectiveness of water treatment operations.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the Engineering industry.
2. A degree or diploma in a relevant field, such as Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
3. Proven experience with water systems, including operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
4. Strong knowledge of water treatment processes, equipment, and safety regulations.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
6. Proficiency in using computer software and systems related to water treatment.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
8. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel as needed.
9. Physical fitness, with the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
10. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of water treatment.
