Position Summary Material Handlers are responsible for shipping or receiving inventory and non-inventory goods within a specific area and maintaining the facility and the inventories in an orderly condition. They build strong relationships with peers, other departments and managers to best meet company goals and objectives.
Principal AccountabilitiesIn addition to the following Epson's policies and procedures, principle accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
Warehouse Operations1. Picks, packs, and ships customer orders utilizing RF scangun.2. Unloads and performs visual count inspection and verification of inbound products.3. Updates UOM as needed.4. Loads outbound trailers/containers.5. Perform accurate pick, put-away and move utilizing RF scangun.6. Utilize TMS station to process outbound shipments.7. Ensures all compliance issues and special instructions are met.
Safety / Housekeeping8. Pays attention to the surroundings at all times. Follow direction of all floor and posted signs.9. Operates equipment in accordance with safety procedures.10. Makes certain your equipment is operating properly, report malfunction of equipment to your Lead or Supervisor.11. Immediately reports irresponsible activity or potential hazards which may cause harm to you or co-workers and report all accidents.12. Clean up after yourself at all times. Debris (trash, pallet fragments, shrink-wrap strapping etc.) is picked up and placed in corresponding receptacles. Advice maintenance of any major spills so it can be cleaned up.13. Participates and cooperates in all housekeeping requirements to ensure Carson facility is tour ready at all times.
Quality and Environmental Management Systems14. Actively participates in the Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001-2000) and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001).15. Actively participate in 5S program (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain)
Relationship Management1. Builds strong relationships with peers, other departments, and managers to best meet company goals and objectives.
