Part-Time PM Laundry Attendant
OBJECTIVE:
The Laundry Attendant stores hotel linen in a timely, organized manner to ensure that hotel laundry and linen are met and to provide a memorable guest experience through the anticipation of guest's needs and providing exceptional service to support Hilton Brand Standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following reflects the essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned by the supervisor who may reassign duties and responsibilities at any time.
- Ability to arrive to work on time and when scheduled
- Ability to stand on feet up to 7 hours a day and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to operate washer and dryer equipment
- Physically able to move/lift large, heavy objects such as: linen, linen carts and/or bags of linen
- Physically able to operate cleaning equipment such as: brooms, spray bottles
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and other team members verbally and in written form, over the phone, or in person
- Ability to learn, follow and enforce standards for cleanliness as they apply to the laundry area
- Ability to follow all safety procedures and standards and ability to recognize and act in emergency situations
- Performs all stages of linen processing (i.e. sorting & weighing soiled & unsoiled linen, loading & unloading washers & dryers, folding & storing linen.
- Assists in laundry inventories.
- Cleans laundry area.
- Folds and stores valet and laundry bags
- Keep work area neat and organized.
- Respond to guest requests.
- Report all mechanical problems & hazardous conditions to supervisor, manager, or Security Department.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Must have open availability, work weekends and holidays.
- Six-month related experience.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Manage priorities and workflow.
- Versatile, flexible and willing to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Speak and understand basic terms, directions and concepts in the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must provide valid document(s) to work in the US.
- Must meet legal age requirements for the position.

CERTIFICATES & LICENSES: WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing these duties the employee may be exposed to:
- Protective equipment required for this job: latex gloves, face mask (if needed).
- Use of various hazardous chemicals.
Team members will be trained in the proper use and care of assigned PPE. The hotel provides the required PPE. It is your responsibility to report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly, to your Manager.
GROOMING & UNIFORM: All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. Employee must wear uniform at all times during scheduled hours. Uniforms are the property of DoubleTree Carson. Uniforms that have been tampered or destroyed will be the responsibility of the employee and disciplinary action will apply.
Salary- $19.50/hour
