Big Canyon Country Club is now accepting Applications for:Host/HostessWe are looking for an outstanding Host/Hostess. If you are interested in working in a beautiful private country club with excellent service and people, then consider Big Canyon. Must be able to work part time including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Duties and ResponsibilitiesCreating a lasting, positive impression upon members and guest when they first arrive to the restaurantMaintaining a confident and approachable appearance to create rapport with those diningConducting oneself in a professional manner to reflect the high standards of the Big Canyon Country ClubExpectationsWelcoming our members by name and answering the phone in a friendly and courteous mannerBooking reservations for all a la carte outlets and responding to all inquiries in a timely mannerProviding members with sincere advice and obliging recommendationsAssisting with 'to go' orders, accuracy, and billingLearning and promoting the club's services, events, facilities, and amenities and be able to direct guests accordinglyMonitoring the opening dining sections of the restaurant for empty and cleaned tables while managing the flow of membersAssisting managers and supervisors with administrative dutiesMaintaining a stocked, tidy, and clean work area at all timesAssisting the service team with meal period resets and side workAbiding by all laws pertaining to serving alcoholic beveragesResponding to and providing aid if you are properly trained in medical or other emergenciesAbility to multi-task in a faced paced, high-pressure environmentQualificationsMinimum QualificationsPrior club or hospitality experience preferredPrevious fine dining experience preferredPrevious customer service experience requiredBasic knowledge of service styles and etiquette such as appropriate table settings, the order of service, & wine serviceMust have be able to quickly learn and adapt to our POS SystemAvailable to work on all holidays and weekendsAbility to perform physical job duties such as carrying plates, moving small furniture, & carrying a full server trayPossess strong interpersonal and communication skillsHave knowledge of the food menu, daily specials, and wine menuMaintaining a pleasant, polite manner as well as a neat and clean appearanceWork cooperatively and professionally with other departmentsPossess a mature, professional demeanor to interact with staff and members
