**Inventory Management Specialist**

at Motive Companies Fountain Valley, CA **Purpose and scope:**

The inventory Management Specialist works with the parts department to achieve a smooth operation of parts both entering and exiting the warehouse and ensures that inventory remains accurate and accessible. This position also spots shortages with parts availability before they become a problem and works with the Service manager to solve upcoming issues to avoid unnecessary delays.

**Responsibilities:**

* Process incoming parts into the warehouse and maintain accurate inventory status.

* Work with service technicians to ensure parts are repaired and located within the warehouse management system correctly.

* Alert management of impending parts shortages.

* Work with the Network Operations Center to construct and program new Gateways and repeaters for ACT live sites and demos.

* Create and improve systems for service technicians to maintain parts inventory, and reach out to outsourced services to maintain flow of repaired parts into inventory.

* Become a subject matter expert on all Quantum repair and service parts and accessories, and be able to answer questions from dealers regarding the products.

* Understand technical problems effectively through proper analysis, evaluation and diagnosis.

* Work with high Voltages of 600VAC, 480VAC, 300VDC and below.

* Support improvements to test equipment and processes to reduce downtime.

* Prepare and attach Green Tag on replaced part/s, upkeep maintenance records, warranty contracts, Warranty/Service Work Order or installation report and other service reports to the senior managers.

**Education and Training:**

* While performing the duties of this job, individual is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, and electricity.

* Noise level is minimal to loud.

* Surroundings clean to dirty.

* Regular use of safety glasses and shoes. Vision requirements: close vision.

**Physical Requirements:**

* While performing the duties of this job, individual is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.

* Individual is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch.

* Ability to regularly lift a minimum 50lbs on a daily basis and on occasion 51 to 150lbs with assistance of equipment

**Skills / Other:**

* Analytical ability to prioritize work and move from task to task

* Ability to deal with difficult situations and maintain a positive attitude

**Education and Training:**

* Working knowledge of standard shop tools.

* Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude

* Strong written and verbal English communication skills

* Education: preferably degree in Business management or Electrical Engineering

**Technical Requirements:**

* Ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions on the work that needs to be performed.

* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
